General Description
:
The kunming camellia hotel is a two star hotel, popular with foreign travelers on a budget. Beyond the standard rooms and other services, the hotel also maintains budget rooms (dormitory style) to accommodate backpackers. A bed in a four bed-room will cost around rmb30. The hotel also operates the camellia travel agency which provides all kinds of local travel related services, including bike rental, ticketing, travel advice and organized tours. With its message board near the lobby, the hotel is also a great place to find a travel friend for further travel throughout yunnan. It is only 3 km from the railway station and 6 km from the airport to the camellia. The laos and cambodia both acquire their consulates housed in the hotel. Just opposite the hotel is the camel bar, one of the best spots in the city to meet other travelers, exchange travel information and find new traveling companions! A great local restaurant, the jixin yunnan flavor restaurant is also nearby.
